Lauren Cheatle, who was picked up by Gujarat Giants, will miss the Womens Premier League 2024. She has undergone treatment for the removal of a skin cancer, revealed a report on Cricket Australia’s official website.
“The left-arm quick underwent a medical procedure on Wednesday. She went under the knife for a similar operation on her leg in 2021,” said the report.
This comes after the left-arm quick had been laid low with a series of setbacks including shoulder injuries.
“Cheatle is aiming to return to training with NSW following the players’ scheduled off-season break,” said Cricket New South Wales in their statement.
